biography
I spent most of my childhood swinging a golf club in the small Northern California town, Petaluma. After high school I came to the realization that I would never fulfill my childhood dreams of becoming a pro golfer, so I left the nest and moved to a dorm at Sacramento State. While attending Sacramento State I got what I thought of as a “college job” selling mattresses at a retail furniture store.
Shortly after graduating with a BA in organizational communication I was promoted into the training dept as a project manager. What I once thought of as a college job turned into a career. My current role as Program Development Leader requires that I wear the hats of instructional designer, developer, facilitator, and computer nerd for the sales training dept.
As a chronically underfunded Instructional Designer I am in constant search of innovative ways to improve the results of training programs using technology. This search has lead me to the Educational Technology program at San Diego State where I am quickly improving my skills in Instructional Design.
