ServeTrain developed a series of e-learning courses covering alcohol service rules and regulations and partnered with MoodleRooms to get their Moodle site off the ground but they needed some help making it all work. Getting Moodle installed is one thing but customizing it and making it work to your expectations is a whole other beast. J Deegan Consulting helped ServeTrain customize Moodle and troubleshoot problems they were having with their courses so that they could overcome the technological barriers and launch their business. What started out as a short term contract to troubleshoot initial problems has turned into an ongoing relationship to make further improvements and provide consulting services as issues arise.
- Theme Customization – Sites hosted with MoodleRooms come with some nice features that can be tough to figure out if you’re not Moodle Savvy. We saved them the headache and made a good looking site using the built in theme and navigation customization features available in MoodleRooms sites.
- Graphic Design – They were happy with the theme but wanted to customize it with graphics for the main site navigation and overall layout of the home page.
- SCORM Troubleshooting – A major hurdle for ServeTrain was getting SCORM reporting to work consistently within Moodle. We were able to troubleshoot the issue and get SCORM reporting to work smoothly on both Adobe Captivate and Articulate Studio versions of the courses.
- Moodle Administration Consulting – ServeTrain was ready to take on the administration duties themselves but needed training on how to manage Moodle and handle issues that arise. We developed a manual and series of screen recordings to teach them the basics and provide ongoing consulting services for issues that come up.
