As class sizes become larger it is becoming increasingly difficult to engage students in the classroom. A great way of overcoming the challenge of engaging students and increasing interaction in a large class is to take advantage of Twitter. Using Twitter to increase conversation in the “Back channel” can broaden participation and engage students who may not have spoke up otherwise. This educational multimedia web page will introduce why and how to use Twitter to increase student engagement in and out of the classroom.
